To shoot your pistol better – start by sighting it in. As simple as this may sound, many handgun shooters never take the time to perform this critical step. Besides the obvious benefit of having your handgun shoot to the point of aim, there is the extremely important psychological advantage of having confidence that the gun will do its part if you do yours. If you KNOW your handgun will hit the mark if you do everything right, you will be motivated to aim more exactly and pull the trigger more carefully. Conversely, if your mental attitude is - even if you do everything right, the shot may not go where intended because the gun is not properly sighted in – then why bother trying your best?
